Cancer care navigation startup Thyme Care has raised $97 million in a Series D funding round, the company said Thursday.

Investors in the round included venture capital firms CVS Health Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Town Hall Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and AlleyCorp, insurer Humana, Houstonbased Memorial Hermann, Dallas-based Texas Oncology and Morgan Health, a division of J.P. Morgan Chase focused on employer-sponsored healthcare.

Thyme Care offers value-based cancer care navigation services for payer and risk-bearing provider customers. The company combines its artificial intelligence-based platform with independent oncologists and its own clinicians to provide care for cancer patients in between their in-person visits.

Thyme Care, which raised $95 million in a Series C round in July 2024, pursued the Series D round because it included investments from employers, insurers and providers, said Dr. Brad Diephuis, president and chief operating officer. He said the validation from customers and partners was a signal the company’s value-based care model, which provides care to 80,000 people, has worked. “We believe that this model will keep scaling, and this round puts us in position to make significant additional bets that can further unlock our ability to drive savings for our payer partners,” Diephuis added. Scaling plans include growing within its current 30-state offering and entering new markets, Diephuis said. The company will also use the funding to continue investing in AI."
